POLICE TO ARREST PRESIDENT OF REGISTERED NURSES AND MIDWIVES ASSOCIATION OVER THE ONGOING STRIKE

Information reaching us indicate that the Ghana Police Service has been sent to arrest the President of the Ghana Registered Nurses and Midwives Association (GRNMA) over their ongoing strike.

The Ghana Registered Nurses and Midwives Association (GRNMA) yesterday began a sit-down strike across the country over what they describe as bad conditions of service.

The strike was declared illegal by the Accra High Court but the defiant nurses still went ahead to execute their threats of a strike.

A video sent to My News Ghana This morning captures personnel of the Ghana Police Service (GPS) on an operation.

The video also captures an unidentified nurse complaining bitterly about how nurses are treated in the country.

He lamented over lack of attention for nurses and rather the provision of all sorts of allowances for doctors in the country.

Currently, we cannot confirm whether the arrest was successful or not but trust us, we will follow up with all the details and updates to you.
