PRESIDENT TO CUT SOD FOR TAKORADI MARKET CIRCLE REDEVELOPMENT

 News reaching us indicates that the President, Akufo-Addo is set to cut sod for the Takoradi Market Circle redevelopment.

Therefore, it is scheduled for Wednesday, 19th August 2020 at the Fire Service area of the market.

Earlier this year, there was a registration of traders within the Takoradi main market popularly referred to as Takoradi Market Circle.

The market, which serves as the main commercial centre in the southern part of the region, is to be redeveloped.

According to the STMA, all necessary measures have been put in place for the construction of the ultra-modern market.

The proposed redevelopment of TMC envisages a reconstruction of the old market into a modern market complex.

Therefore, there would be well-designed shops, stores and stalls, planned sectors and improved drainage and waste management systems.

Lastly, the event will have the MP for Takoradi and Western Regional Minister, Hon. Kobby Okyere Darko in attendance.
