García Pimienta as the new Guardiola

 Lluis Fernandez, a candidate for the next presidential elections, has spoken to Radio MARCA and said he would promote B team coach Francisco Javier Garcia Pimienta. “We’re convinced he can be the new Guardiola,” he said.

Koeman is the favourite

If Setien’s sacking is confirmed then the search for his replacement will begin. Ronald Koeman is the frontrunner and was even spotted at Barcelona’s airport over the weekend.

Even though some directors will join this Monday’s meeting via videocall, the majority are expected to be there in person.

 It’s not yet confirmed, but it is possible that Bartomeu will speak with the media following this Monday’s board meeting.
