YAW YEBOAH BELIEVES BLACK STARS COACH CK AKONNOR WILL INVITE HIM AT THE RIGHT TIME

Spanish-based Ghanaian attacker Yaw Yeboah is confident he will receive his Black Stars call-up under new manager Charles Akonnor when the time is right.

Despite impressing greatly at the youth level (U-20 and U-23), Yaw Yeboah has barely been given the opportunity at the Black Stars.

The Black Meteors skipper was left out of CK Akonnor's 23 man squad for the doubleheader against Sudan in the AFCON 2021 qualifiers.

When he was asked about it, he revealed that CK told him that he was not ready to play for the senior national team yet.

In his recent interview with Daily Graphic, he mentioned the good relationship with the coach amid his omission and added that he will be called when the time comes.

"CK Akonnor is a great coach and he is like a father to me. He coached me during my formative years at Right to Dream Academy and he knows me so well. When the time is due, he will call me."
