GES RELEASES RESULTS OF PROMOTION INTERVIEWS FOR 2020, OVER 11,000 TEACHERS FAILED

The Ghana Education Service has released results for the promotion test that was held in February 2020.

According to a statement from the GES, out of a total of 30,280 candidates who were shortlisted for to the test to the grade of Deputy Director, Assistant Director I, Assistant Director II and Principal Superintendent, 18,475 candidates were successful.

The pass rate represents 61.0 percent of the total number of candidates who sat for the test.


Statistically, the Deputy Director category had 48.8 percent pass rate, Assistant Director I had 65.7 percent, Assistant Director II 59.5 percent and Principal Superintendent recorded 69.6 percent.

“We are pleased to inform staff of the Ghana Education Service that the results for the promotion test held on February 20 and 21, 2020 to the various grades in the Ghana Education Service have been released”, a portion of the statement reads
