VIDEO DETAILING HOW FBI TRACKED THE INSTAGRAM POSTS OF HUSHPUPPI THAT LED TO HIS ARREST

The Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) has released a video detailing how the Instagram posts of embattled ‘big boy’ Hushpuppi prompted a secret investigation that led to his eventual arrest.

The lavish posts of Hushpuppi showing his fleet of cars and all the luxuries he could afford were too glaring and gave the FBI a premonition that he might be up to something fishy.

In the said video, Huspuppi made an Instagram post which reads: “Started out my day having sushi down at Nobu in Monte Carlo, Monaco, then decided to book a helicopter to have facials at the Christian Dior spa in Paris, then ended my day having Champagne in Gucci.” He shared the post with the hashtag #AllMine.

This was followed by another post where he was standing by a number of Bentleys, Mercedes, Ferraris, and Rolls-Royces…these pieces of information gave them further proof that they had to close in fast on him as soon as possible.

According to the documentary, “with some very key information, he had his email and phone number saved to his Instagram and when our boys here at the Bureau did a little digging, we were able to link the financial transactions and transfers known to be associated with co-conspirators.”

Another post from Hushuppi on Instagram had him flaunting a gigantic birthday cake that had his face hugely carved out on it. According to the FBI, these were the posts that gave them the urge to go after him.

“Investigators were able to verify his date of birth from a previous US visa application.” We had all we needed, so they took action,” the FBI said.

Ramon Olorunwa Abbas aka Huspuppi was arrested in Dubai on July 2 by a team of well-rehearsed police officials and was flown to the FBI in the United States of America.

He is now being held at the Metropolitan Correction Centre in Chicago.

The FBI added that after his arrest, his assets were seized. Almost $41 million in cash was seized from him at the time of his arrest. He was also in possession of luxurious vehicles worth $6.8 million which were all confiscated by the FBI.

According to the FBI, the nature of the crime committed was nothing new, however, the magnitude was overwhelming.
