ZIDANE'S ONGOING EXAMINATION AT REAL MADRID
Zinedine Zidane has returned to work with Real Madrid with more ambition and hunger for success than ever before.
This 2019/20 season is one that Zidane wants to end with as much success as possible and Los Blancos are still in with a chance of winning LaLiga Santander and the Champions League.
The Frenchman hasn't yet had the chance to speak to all of his players face-to-face though, only by video call, but the message he's sending is clear - he wants his players to return at 100 percent.
Everyone has to be fully switched on and motivated to challenge for everything.
While his players have been working on the pitch at Valdebebas recently, Zidane has been shouting on from the sidelines and insisting on how important it is to end the season well to give joy to their fans who will be watching on at home.
The season ending in such an atypical manner doesn't act as any comfort for the coach, nor does it guarantee his continuity in the job.
Zidane knows more than anyone that the job at Real Madrid is done under constant surveillance and judgment.
Happy with his players
After the first 10 days of work, Zidane is optimistic and pleased.
His players are as motivated as ever and in impressive shape.
Fitness coach Gregory Dupont has lightened the load after some intense sessions, and orders have been followed closely.
"You have to think positive," Zidane told Real Madrid TV after two months of silence.
"I see the future in a good light. The players see that there are 11 games left and they want to finish strong and win a title.
"It's in the club's DNA."
