IT’S NOT CALLED 'SOBOLO' , HERE IS THE ENGLISH NAME FOR IT AND THE BENEFITS

Sobolo is the Ghanaian name for a drink made out of leaves of the Roselle (plant). It is called different names in different countries where the drink can be found.

Sobolo is made out of fried rosella leaves.It is very popular in Ghana and other west African countries.The taste of this local juice tastes slightly different from those drank in different parts of the world.Sobolo is called Zobo in Nigeria and its really popular in Nigeria too.

It tastes a bit grapey and a little bit like cranberry juice and can be served with mint leaves. It can also be served with any flavoring of one’s choice; sometimes with pineapple juice, tea grass, vanilla and many others. Sobolo drink also has a lot of medicinal benefits. It help blood pressure regulated, helps in cutting cholesterol levels. It reduces menstrual cramps and speeds up digestion which is effective in weight control.

I have always been laughing hearing educated people calling it SOBOLO.The official english name for sobolo was created by the Burkina Faso people which is called 'BISSAP DRINK'.
